Tankerton FC submits planning application for pitch & facility development.

This week Tankerton FC has submitted its' planning application for its' own clubhouse and ground/facility development to Canterbury City council. The proposed site is adjacent to St Augustines Business Park so just a stones throw away from Seaview. This significant step forward is a tremendous achievement for the club. After months of planning, meetings, site visits and forging strong links within the community we have obtained much needed support from wider associations including Kent FA, Football Foundation and Sport England. Preserving wildlife is also important to us and is included as part of the application through our nature discovery centre.

If the application is approved we will be one step closer to realising a dream for over 300 young people and securing a firm footing for future grass roots football within the community.

Having more than 30 teams to accommodate training and matches is a mammoth task for the club; so it will be essential we also maintain our ground at Seaview caravan park in which we are extremely grateful for Park holidays continued support.
