Tankerton F.C. Fun Day & Trophies Presentation 2025

The Club held its annual, end of season Fun Day at Seaview on Saturday, 19th July. This included presentation of individual squad trophies to all players and of the Players’ Player of the Season, Managers’ Player of the Season and Parents’ Player of the Season trophies, as selected by each team. Awards were then made to Club volunteers.

Adam Smith-Anthony from the Club’s Board of Trustees provided an update on the new ground. For details, please see the press release included under the story on the Club’s website, titled “TFC launches campaign for sponsors and supporters ahead of new ground opening”.

Adam then presented the club volunteer awards:

COACH OF THE YEAR

There were a number of outstanding candidates for this year’s award, including:

Andy Beaumont, who guided his U13s team to second place in Division 2 of the Faversham & District Youth League. Sadly, Andy will be leaving the Club at the end of the season.
Chris Rowley, for his fantastic work with the new U9s Colts and his continued support for Sam and the U14s Girls team, who had yet another exceptional season.
Erim Covac and Michael Fisher, for their outstanding work with our new U11s team.
Special mentions also went to John Darby, Jamie Clark, Alex Bushby, Kelvin Newell and all of the dedicated assistant coaches throughout the Club.
The Coach of the Year Trophy was presented to Dan Neville for his fantastic leadership with the U9s and for the brilliant support he has given to Steve Alton’s U15s who have had a terrific season.

ADAM BOWEY SPECIAL RECOGNITION AWARD

This year, the Adam Bowey Award was presented to everyone who has given up their time to help set up the tea room and to volunteer in the Whitstable Junior School car park. On cold days at Seaview, a hot cup of tea or coffee has meant the world to so many!

The volunteers in question are: Kerry-Anna, Keely & Michael, Emma, Jak Areesorn, Will Rose, Gabe, Sarah & Ethan Birch, Lou & Maurice, Geoffrey Paterson, Jamie, Michelle Elliott, Jaquie & Bev, Toby, Tim, Sarah Harrison, Gideon Wade & Sara, Lois and Suz, a few of whom stepped up to accept the award.

CHAIRMAN’S SPECIAL CONTRIBUTION AWARD

This year’s award was presented to Alex, John, Cassidy and Lois for their outstanding support of Dean and the Development Centre. Whether it was helping set up new teams, covering while Dean was away on his UEFA B course or just being there, come wind, rain, hail or sunshine, the dedication of these people has been vital.

There was also a special shout out to John and Phil who have also volunteered their time to helping Terry with the ground maintenance this year. Thanks also to Kelvin and Dan for providing cover.
