Successful first tournament for Females Who Football
It was a great first tournament on Saturday 19th May for Females Who Football (FWF), with seven teams playing some amazing football.
It was an unlucky start for FWF who lost their first match to Hawkinge Town Foxes. FWF goalkeeper Marta made some amazing saves but Foxes managed to get one goal in the last couple of minutes. FWF's next game was with Canterbury Old Bags (White) who went on to win the tournament. FWF played well and had a few shots on target from Hellyn but unfortunately for FWF the match ended in a 0-0 draw.
Two Canterbury Old Bags teams made it through to the final and what an exciting finish we had to the tournament with the final going to a penalty finish. Well done to Canterbury Old Bags for taking home the trophy.
